Kulraise

Terms

The short version, and the whole version.

Nine points, in plain sentences. If a longer agreement ever becomes necessary it will say exactly these things at greater length.

Who can use it

A parent or guardian creates the family, agrees to these terms on behalf of everyone in it, and is responsible for what happens inside. Children take part with their own PIN, set up by that parent. You need to be 18 or over to create a family.

Consent for a child's information

Everyone under 18 is a child in law, and their information is only in Kulraise because a parent or guardian put it there. When you create a family you confirm you are that parent or guardian, and each time you add a child we record that confirmation with your name, the child's name, the date, the wording you agreed to, the IP address you did it from and a short description of your browser. That record is never edited or deleted while the account exists — a consent record you can quietly change is not evidence of anything.

Emails we send

Two kinds, and the difference matters. Service emails are how the account works — a password reset link, an answer to a question you asked us, a notice that somebody asked for support access. Those are not marketing, they are sent because you have an account, and they cannot be switched off while you have one. Everything else — the weekly family digest, news about the app — is off unless you asked for it at signup or switched it on later, and one tap in Settings turns it off again for good.

If you share your family's codes, that is your decision

Kulraise gives your family two codes. The join code lets a child sign in to your family; the invite code lets somebody else start a family of their own with you recorded as the person who invited them. Both are yours to share, and sharing them is entirely your choice and your responsibility. If you send either to somebody — in a message, a group, or in person — you are the one deciding they should have it, and we are not a party to that message and not responsible for it or for what the person you sent it to does next. If a code reaches somebody it should not have, turn it off: a parent can regenerate the join code and switch off the invite code from Settings, immediately, without our involvement. We will never ask you for either code, and nobody at Kulraise can use one to get into your family.

The money is not real

Kulraise records the pocket money your family already handles between yourselves. It holds no funds, issues no card, moves nothing between accounts, and pays no interest itself — the rate is one you chose. The funds a child can invest in are a simulation for learning. Nothing here is a financial product, a payment service, or financial advice.

Health features are a log, not a doctor

The sugar readings, insulin doses, pens, daily checks, food entries and care habits are a record of decisions a person has already made. Kulraise does not diagnose, does not calculate or suggest a dose, and never replaces your doctor or diabetes team. Targets, ratios, routines and pen timings are values you enter after being told them by a clinician; if one of those is wrong in the app, the app will repeat it. It is not a medical device and must not be used as one.

Alerts are a convenience, never a safety net

Low and high alerts are ordinary push notifications. Phones are off, silent, out of battery and out of signal all the time, and delivery is not guaranteed by us or by anyone. Treat every alert that arrives as useful and every alert that does not as expected — a serious low is dealt with by the people in the room, not by an app.

Your content stays yours

Everything your family writes belongs to your family. We store it to run the service and for no other purpose: no advertising, no selling, no training on it. Delete the family and it goes with it.

What a family member does inside the app

The people in your family can write to each other, post to your family feed, and add habits, notes and entries. That is a private space between people who already live together, and what is said in it is between them — we do not read it, moderate it, or take responsibility for it. A parent is responsible for their own family, including anything a child in it writes.

Support access is by invitation only

Nobody at Kulraise can open your family without a support key a parent generates. Keys are scoped, expire on their own, can be closed by you in a tap, and every single use is written to an audit trail you can read.

The referral year

A family that signs up with a valid invite code from another family gets the Family plan free for twelve months from the day it signs up. No card is taken and nothing is charged. When the twelve months end the family moves to the Free plan unless it chooses to pay; it is told inside the app thirty days before, and nothing is deleted. The year cannot be exchanged for money, applies once per family, and the family whose code was used gets a year of its own once the new family has been here a month. We may end the offer for new signups at any time; a year already granted stands.

Fair use

Use it for your own family. Don't try to break into other families' data, don't hammer the service, and don't use it to store anything unlawful. An account created for a child by someone who is not their parent or guardian will be closed. We can suspend an account that does any of this — and we will tell you why.

Availability and liability

The service is offered as-is. We keep daily backups and aim to keep it up, but we do not warrant that it is uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Kulraise is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision — medical, financial or otherwise — made on the basis of what the app displays. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Deleting your family

Settings → Delete family, and it is yours to press: no email to us, no reason required, and nobody at Kulraise can refuse it. It is scheduled for seven days so that a wrong press can be undone — the family's email address is written to the moment it is asked for, any parent can cancel, and the app says the date on every screen until then. Kulraise holds one address for a family rather than one per parent, so a second parent who does not read that inbox sees it on the screen instead. You can also have it done immediately on the same screen. On the day it runs, every habit, transaction, reading, dose, message and audit row belonging to your family is deleted outright; backups age out within a fortnight. What is left is one line recording that a deletion happened and when, holding nothing that names anybody. Take your exports first — the sugar log and the bank statement are one tap each, and after this there is nothing left to export.

Changes and endings

If anything material changes, families are told inside the app before it takes effect. If we ever have to close the service, you will get notice and a full export first.

The two that matter most

The money is pocket money your family already handles. The health side records what someone decided; it never decides anything.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. See also the privacy statement, which says what is stored and who can reach it. This is a plain-language agreement kept in step with the app; a formal set reviewed by a lawyer accompanies public launch.
